The Baps Swaminarayan Temple, the new temple Atlanta can't stop talking about, is a marvel of architecture and human effort, embracing a congregation of about 500 people. Built largely with volunteer labor and open since August of 2007, the temple is a testament to the strength and integration of the Indian community in Atlanta.

If you are looking for a large worship community and would like to experience a spiritual atmosphere dating back to over a thousand years ago in India, the Swaminarayan is an excellent choice.


The Hindu Temple of Atlanta in Riverdale was incorporated in October of 1984, and through the effort of many prominent Georgian Hindis was crafted into a strong part of the Indian community in Atlanta. With many elements of traditional South Indian temple architecture, including four Vimanas and a separate shrine for Ganesha, the structure evokes authentic Indian spirituality.

Atlanta boasts a thriving Hare Krishna community, and features a suitable temple for worship. The Atlanta Hare Krishna Temple offers worship, classes, counseling, and prasadam to all worshippers and their visitors. Founded several decades ago by HH Srila Prabhupada, the temple encompasses a small but lively congregation.

The Siddha Yoga Meditation Center of Atlanta offers a varied community of Hindis a place for yoga, meditation, chanting, classes, and spiritual connection. Most activities are scheduled during the evening, making the Center convenient for busy professionals. Worship is

The Vendata Center of Atlanta was established in January of 2007 and features a closely-knit community of worshippers focused on knowledge, scriptures, and superconscious experiences. The Center is a major representative of Vendata in the United States and offers many classes and workshops in addition to spiritual retreats.
