Description:

Diwali may be by far the most glamorous and important festival celebrated in India. Diwali means an “Array of Lamps,” which is why it’s often called a “festival of lights!” Come celebrate this exuberant holiday by creating delightful dipa lamps, Toran decorations and welcome paintings with traditional Indian designs during our Diwali Wonderweek!
ACTIVITIES:
Welcome Paintings: Do you hold the lucky door for a special visit from goddess Lakshmi? Paint your own Indian welcome sign to see if you are!

Diwali Door Hanging: Make your own signature garland design made of flowers and leafs to hang on your door!

Dipa Lamp Maze: Light the way for Lakshmi as you follow through this intricate lamp maze!
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Play Pallanguri!: Learn how to play this popular children’s game during the Diwali festivals!

Spotlight Performances:
Rathna Kumar of Anjali Indian Dance Company will present a dance performance/workshop in celebration of Diwali.

Anjali Indian Dance Company will perform traditional fast-paced Indian dances in celebration of Diwali.
Saturday, November 22: 2 p.m.

Spool Racers: Create a rip roaring racer out of a spool and a rubber band to race your friends!
Tuesday, November 25: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
