What is fundusearch.com about?

FunduSearch is a business directory specifically tailored to Indians living and working in the United States, as well as the businesses that serve them. As an online yellow pages resource dedicated to your special interests and concerns, we aim to connect consumers and business owners all while enriching the Indian community.


FunduSearch is a great place to find a local restaurant with your favorite dishes, book a musician, learn about events in your location, find coupons and reviews, or even list your own products and services online. Business owners can create listings and special offers, showcasing their company to local consumers.


How can I register as a regular consumer user?

To create a regular consumer account, follow the "Register" link in the top right hand corner of the main page, and follow the instructions. You will be prompted to activate your account via email; once this is complete, you can begin posting and interacting with other users and business owners.


How do I register as a business user?

If you'd like to join FunduSearch as a business owner, follow the "Register" link in the top right hand corner of the main page, and click the business user link to the right of the registration dialogue. You will need to activate your account via email after submitting the registration form. When this process is complete, you'll have the option of creating a listing and coupons for your business, in addition to accessing regular user features.


I haven't received a confirmation email. What should I do?

Confirmation emails should arrive within thirty minutes of registration, though they will usually arrive immediately. If you have not received your confirmation email, please check your bulk or spam folders (and whitelist fundusearch.com). If significant time has passed and you do not receive the email, please use the contact form under "Contact Us" on the main page.


How do I list my business on FunduSearch?

To add your business listing, please make sure you are logged into your business user account. Select the "Account" link in the top right hand corner of the main page, and click "Create a New Listing" under the "Listings" tab. Complete the basic information fields, and enter a description of your business. You may wish to include your hours of operation along with details about your specialties and services. Please note that if you wish to create more than one listing, you will need to use our contact form to verify your affiliation.


My business address already exists. How can I claim an existing listing?

If your business is already listed on FunduSearch, please register as a business user and log in. Visit the business listing, and click the "Own this business? Edit Listing" link under the contact information. You can now edit the listing via your account page. Please note that if you wish to claim more than one listing, you will need to use our contact form to verify your affiliation.


As a business user, how do I post coupons?

To post coupons, please make sure you are logged into your business user account. On your account page, under the Listings tab, select the "Coupons" link to the right of your business listing. Click "New Coupon" and enter the title, time period, and details for your coupon, then click "Create". Coupons will be viewable under the "Coupons" tab of your listing, as well as by city.


How do I post reviews?

If you'd like to post a review, please make sure you are logged in, and click the "Write a Review" link in the top right of the business listing you'd like to use. Enter a title, rating, and description, detailing your experience with the business and making sure to explain your rating choice. Please note that only regular consumer users are able to use the review feature.


The article I posted does not show up right. How do I change the formatting (HTML)?

Most articles should work fine with regular text formatting. However, if you'd like to add effects like bold, underlined, or italicised text, align paragraphs, or add pictures, you will need to select "HTML" from the Format box on the article creation page. How do I report a fake or offensive listing?

If you find a listing that you know to be false or which contains offensive material, please let us know by clicking the "Report Abuse" link under the listing's contact information. Thanks!


How do I create an event listing?

To let the community know about your event, please log in and click "Add a New Event" in the green box to the right of the main page. Enter the full details for your event and click "Create."


How do classified ads work?

Our classifieds are free to post. To create an ad, make sure you are logged in and click "Post a FREE Classified" in the green box to the right of the main page, or under the "Classifieds" link in the main menu. Fill out your details, making sure to categorize your ad, and provide personal contact information. Click "Create" and you're done!


Can I submit an article on FunduSearch?

Yes, we welcome articles from our users. We appreciate topics that address specific concerns or interests within the US Indian community, as well as your views on culture and current events. If you'd like to write an article, simply click "Articles" in the main page menu, and as a logged-in user, post your piece. Please note that off-topic, offensive, and poorly written articles will not be accepted.


How much does it cost to use FunduSearch?

FunduSearch is 100% free for regular consumers, and is also free for business users for a limited time. All features, including listings, events, coupons, and classifieds are free of charge to create and access.
